Let's get to know each other and talk about our favorite topic- your pet!
In this session, you will tell me about your pet. How did your pet come into your life? How were they raised? What do you do together? How do you feed them? What is concerning you? What have you done? What has worked and what hasn't? What are your goals? I will explain how I can potentially guide you through an exploration of general options. If we connect I will ask you for further detailed information. SEE BELOW
Here, we will talk about your veterinarian's findings and recommendations. I will want to know how you interpret their comments and how and when you use any products. These products can be pharmaceuticals, parasite prevention, supplements, creams, sprays, cleaners, and/ or shampoos. Which over the counter products have been used.
Tell me about your pet's environment. Include home, yard, cage, aquarium, hutch, parks daycare, etc. Who is in their circle/family? Include humans, pets, neighbors friends, groomers, trainers, kennel attendants, etc . What about using kitty litter, cedar bedding, sand, etc. Which products are in the home and yard - like: air fresheners, lawn chemicals, fabric softener, floor cleaners, etc.
We will discuss tools like harnesses, collars, leashes, crates, gates, ramps, etc. Tell me about their beds, toys, cat scratchers, perches, pools. Tell me about their playtime, exercise, enrichment and how they rest, unwind, and sleep.
I start from the top. Initially, looking at heritable conditions based on your pet's breed, if known. We will discuss what your veterinarian's report means for the future. I will need to determine what activities, care and support you will be capable of. I will organize the information and formulate your strategy. Within 48 hours, a plan of action will be presented to you.
I will calculate precise calorie requirements based on your pets energy requirement. This service is not just about weight management. Conversely, it is the foundation to assure your pet's body has the building blocks healing potential. Often, in less complicated pets , getting to this point is all the further you need to go. The benefits of diet and targeted nutrition can have a powerful impact. Testing to identify offending foods, discover potential deficiencies and more
You will learn to identify the common household offenders. Simply remove the ones you can. I will recommend safer alternatives and advise you how to avoid the negative outcomes of exposure. There is virtually no way to avoid all harmful chemicals but, knowing what they are can keep your pets safe and unburdened.
All pets will benefit greatly from enrichment. The word "training," in my opinion, does not do justice to the instruction process I share. Training elicits a circus performer image. Our pets benefit from clear communication from a trusted person offering structured leadership. With that being noted, an animal's preferred method of enrichment is training. I will provide you the tools necessary to engage your animal to want to follow your instruction.
These services will not replace veterinary exams, diagnostics, treatments or advice,
